Education is learning the pragmatic process to answer, how and why.”
-Chris McAdam-Mantei
As an educator and researcher, my goal is to create environments (physical or virtual) that are full of opportunities that utilize analytical and critical thinking. I have incorporated 21st-century technology in every facet of education over circa fifteen years. In addition, I integrate historically effective instructional strategies that enhance each child’s learning experience. The education process is supported by providing all children a safe and well-rounded all-inclusive experience. My experiences as a student, professional (e.g., K-12 teacher, high education instructor, and K-12 administrator), and parent of six children allow me to adopt a philosophy that accepts students’ strengths and supports any challenges. Moreover, I am committed to supporting each student and colleague in achieving their full potential in and out of the classroom. As an administrator, I believe that the following provide the foundation to create a school climate that supports effective practices, positive mindsets, and enriches the learning process: (1) visionary leadership; (2) Empathy and emotional intelligence; (3) Collaborative approach; (4) adaptability and innovation; (5) commitment to professional development; (6) Data-driven decision making; (7) accountability and integrity; (8) Building a positive school culture; (9) effective communication; and (10) Focus on student-centred learning. Currently, I am the K-12 principal at White Bear Education Complex in southwest Saskatchewan.
